Couldn't be easier blouse to kid dress!!!!

While Jojo and Mei Mei are busy with their holiday projects...I'm steal some time to shop for something fun to wear for the girls as there are a few parties and wedding's dinner during the holiday.

At first, I take a quick 'scan' at my local morning market.... but the price and quality are not quite up to my 'expectation' (cheap and good..haha...not blaming the market ...blame myself for being so thrifty and fussy!!!).  Next stop at a low cost supermarket... Well, not much luck either...I only purchase 2 white kids' T-shirts... that for later sewing project..

At last, I try my luck at a large shopping mall next to the supermarket...I'm not sure if I will find anything from here..because normally the price of the garments here and more expensive compare to the earlier spots...even though it could be the EXACT same items!!!

I checked the foyer first..because that's normally where the sales items are put up!  .... Yup...I did found something very interesting and the price is PERFECT! 3 FOR RM11...That's means one for about RM1.70 (about US$ 0.50?)..All the garments with all sort of style, size and color are mixed in a big bin...you can mixed the combination.

I end up with these...3 oversize adult blouses with ruffles layers...I think the color are lovely...Jojo always love blue and Mei Mei definitely pink or violet!

Mission complete...now to turn these into something wearable for the girls...

I get some ivory pearl string about 1 meter...tie up the ends into a necklace and tie some knots of soft tulle.  I make a simple tulle flower at one end by gather up the tulle.

Next ...my 'secret weapon'.... pin up two little safety pins and the ends of the necklace...

Then...pin the whole thing onto the edge of the neckline...

Now, it's done!!!

Here are the result!

Ready to party!!!
hard to get a clear photo shoot as they wouldn't sit still after wearing the 'dress'!

Total cost...less than RM3.00!!!
Total time ... less than 30 minutes
(could be lot easier and faster if you already have some necklaces around..)

Bye-bye for now...
have a party to catch...
