And this is how I started...
the same way I make the puffy flower and the ladybug...
Cut a round shape fabric...
run stitches along the edge...
Pull the end and fill in some cotton...
to make a ball shape
You will need 2 pieces of round sequins, a few beads
and a small piece of felt.
Use a double side tape and paste the felt on the
center of the 'ball'
Add in the beads for your bear's eyes
then the nose...
...and the mouth
Now, cut away a bit of your sequins into
below shape...
Now you will need 2 pieces of small glass beads
Position you needle where you would like to have the 'ears'...
String in the bead...
Follow by the cut sequin...
Now, stitch through the needle...
You will see 'the ear' stand up once you pull...
...then bring your needle to stitch through the hole
on the sequin...and through the glass bead
at the back of the 'ear'...to get a firm standing 'ear'
This is the result...
The back view...
And Ta Daa.... the 'animal' head...ready to
be sew on Mei Mei new hair pin...
Here's the family...
Papa bear, Mama bear, Jojo bear and Mei Mei bear...
I know this is such a long tutorial,
but it's really very easy to do...
Try it and have fun...
And this is what I made for Mei Mei
See you!
