When I can't find a circle punch....

Oh dear...I know circle punch seem to be so common ...but sad to say...I just can't find any here...regardless about what size... I just can't seem to source it!  I have been running around some craft supplies store around ... but just no luck yet... and I'm running out of patient too! ( Yes, I did found some  online site which offer it... and it cost more that RM60(about USD20) for a medium 1 1/4" size....kill me...I'm not ready to spend that amount!) ...Err...is this the amount you invest for a circle cuter at your place?

And finally...few days back...I found my WAY to have MY circles...And without spending a single dime!  Yes! I DID IT!!!!   Check these out....

See how close I cut the circles...
No waste of resources...Hehe! Yup, I am very thrifty indeed!

No...I'm definitely not using scissor...this 'way' is lot faster and easier
than using a scissor or cutting knife..

Perfect round circles....

I intend to using these circles for a faux mirror project...
So...what do you think?  How I cut the circle?
My secret "weapon".......(evil smile...)

My material is foil from biscuits wrapper...it look very similar to mirror

Borrow a stencil from Jojo....

Using a needle..yes, normal needle you use for you sewing.
I trace the circle with the needle, apply a bit of tension,
I cut it on a glass table...it's make the cut smoother!
Here comes my circle!

Circle stencil + Needle (on glass table ) = My circle cuter!
I did try this method on paper... sadly the result is not so successful,
anyway, I'm happy with this...for now!

What do you think?
Thanks for stop by

  5. @Laina @ Vibrant SerenityOh! It did at first when I was using a shorter pin with small steel pin head..then I try using longer pin with round head...the pin we use on pin board also can be handle easily too!
